I hope you are all looking forward to the new season and are ready to go. As much as we would love to be back in our own ice rink – alas not yet – we are still working hard on it but sometimes the wheels of planning and funding don’t move as quickly as we would like. We are making progress but not as fast as we hoped.
There are still plenty of opportunities to play and represent C.A.C. We have two teams entered in the Eglinton Jug on the 1st/2nd November – if anyone would like to play please let us know. We also have two teams entered in the indoor Grand Match – both playing at Greenacres on the 15th of November – this event doesn’t happen very often so take the chance to play in it when you can.
The Inter City games are also good social days out and the first ones on the calendar are a Ladies Inter City on 27th October v Glasgow Ladies at Greenacres, another Ladies one on 10th November at Greenacres v Falkirk, followed by 2 mixed teams playing on 28th of November at Kelso – please let us know if you are available and keen to play.
The Maxwell and Morton competitions will also be going on through the season. Check the dates in the curling calendar and we’ll keep you posted about everything. If you want to play in any of these events – let us know.
