A big thank you to the players who went through to Murrayfield ice rink this week to represent Curl Ayrshire, and the Ayrshire Province, in the Waldie Griffiths Inter Province Cup.
The Team of Alison Young, David Kerr, David McIntyre and Jamie Mason, had a “good day oot” and they won their game.
Four, Ayrshire Province Teams travelled through to Curl Edinburgh on Wednesday to defend the Waldie Griffiths Trophy against the Midlothian Province.
Ayrshire were partially successful in that all teams were undefeated on the day but we will not know if we have accumulated a large enough shots up margin to regain the trophy until the end of March. Still lots of other inter Province games to be contested and we will not know if the result is good enough until they are played.
Results from Wednesday’s games were
| Midlothian Prov 1 | 6 | Galston Haymouth | 12 |
| Midlothian Prov 2 | 8 | Stewarton Heather | 8 |
| Midlothian Prov 3 | 4 | Crosshill | 8 |
| Midlothian Prov 4 | 4 | Curl Ayrshire | 5 |
| Total | 22 | 33 |
This equates to an average shots up margin of 2.75 shots which is the important number.
A big well done to all the Ayrshire Teams and Thanks to Douglas Reid, the Ayrshire Province Secretary for the information.
