Ayr Ladies v Falkirk Ladies inter club match.

First played for in 1951, the W Aitkenhead Salver, has been played between Ayr Ladies and Falkirk Ladies for over 70 years.
Monday 10th November at Greenacres, saw Ayr Ladies hoping to bring the Salver home to Ayr, having forfeited it in last year’s match.
Sadly, it was not to be as Falkirk again brought home the win in both games. Ayr Ladies were represented by Jennifer Mutter (skip)with Aileen McKorkell, Mary Shaw and Norma Lambie and Carol Simpson (skip) with Corrie Lawrence, Lillian McIntyre and Elizabeth Shaw. Although close in ends Falkirk romped home with significantly more shots.
Friendship and fun were enjoyed throughout the match and continued over lunch. A most enjoyable day for all concerned and we look forward to next year’s match which will mark the 75th anniversary of the trophy.
