Following a day of visits to Ayrshire attractions and evening socials, on Monday 18th November Ayrshire Rotarians (with a significant number of Curl Ayrshire members playing), supported by a few friends from Lanarkshire, hosted 18 Canadian tourists for their eight match in Scotland.
The tour started on the 3rd of November so that by the time they arrived at Greenacres they were on song and were streaking ahead of Scotland by +94 shots.
All the matches were close with three Scottish rinks just losing by a single shot however all was not lost as our fourth rink skipped by David Hope won by five shots giving us an overall win of +2.
After a very sociable lunch there was an auction for Canadian Olympic hockey tops with all the money raised on tour going to three Scottish charities.
The tour finishes in Stranraer on 23rd November.
